I have got Mech at BITS Pilani & expecting Mech at DCE. Talking to friends, I have come to know that Mech at DCE is one of the best branches but in rankings which are coming BITS is above DCE.I belong to Delhi and home advantage of being in Delhi is there. Shd I take BITS over DCE when I am getting the same branch at both the places?

let me tell you that dce mechanical is best in asia is a very big misconception(check out nsitlounge and see yourself) you should prefer bits mechnanical over dce mechanical any day
bits>>dce

Wil chk out at nsitlounge. maybe best in asia tag may be wrong but since I plan to go in for mba later on , being in a metro may have its advantages. also am not clear about Bits brand value vs dce brand value

dce obviously has to it the advantage of location which when combined with it's own credibility becomes as good a choice as bits pilani
have u got mech in pilani or goa,if it's the latter forget abt it,many people here in dce who left goa for dce,no matter what branch they were getting........if it's pilani, then u need to self analyse the situation,dce/nsit=bits pilani as far as placemnts are concerned, comparing the faculty and facilities bits pilani takes a toll....
but still in my opinion bits pilani mech>dce mech(only for the pilani campus, not goa)

Certainly BITS has an upper edge on DCE. I would recommend you to join BITS Pilani. There too people get the competitive environment for MBA. After all its the cream of India which goes to BITS.

if i were in ur place i wud have taken dce coz of the home advantage, yaa let me tell u,these are all ideal things that are written and talked about(the faculty and all i mean)at the time of making decisions,as the time passes ,u eventually realize that coll life is not abt being taught by profs,it's about bunking classes and slogging out urself to make ur grades,so all this faculty crunch thing is a crap once u enter a college,u begin attendin classes just for the hec of it,to keep up with the attendance, lolzzz,u need to grow up,u r not in a school any more,i noe it's a bit ironical to listen to all this at this stage, but believe me this is how it really is,the end of the day u realize that the coll is only entitled to provide u with a good placement and nothing else, the rest depends on ur own hard work and perseverence
