I have come to know that there are two clgs naming:

(1)chandigarh engineering college i.e.CEC, Landran(mohali)

(2)Chandigarh college of Engg and Tech i.e. CCET, chandigarh

can anyone plz distinguish between these two?

Any college under PU is far better than any college under PTU

PU is no match for ptu

so obviously ccet is better

cec is better as it is aicte approved.........goto the websites of both the colleges from google...............u'll know then

hello i myself is living in chandigarh .... so i can suggest you better ccet is under PU and located in chandigarh itself and cec is not in chd it is in landaran(punjab) which 30km away from chd , this college is under PTU and PU is far far far better than PTU because just 2 year before PEC was under PU and !st batch of ccet is passed out last year with nearly 100% placement but placement in cec is not more than 50%. there is another college with the name of UIET it is in PU campus it is even better than ccet. batch of 2008 has already placed companoes visited are
Infosys - it recruits 196 students
TCS- 94
Wipro-58
L & T- 17
E value serve- 10
sapient-40. etc
Highest package last year was of 12lac this is too in india and offered by Shell lubricants, IOCL gave package of 7.5 lac and lots of other companies also come for campus placement like HCL, Accenture,Seimens etc.... This college is not wel known because only one batch has been passed pout from this college...

And PU campus is unmatchable........
PU is 3rd University of north india after DU and JNU.

Best college for placement pt. of view under PTU is Chitkara .

If you can get addmission in ccet then not even think about landaran...
and if you have chance to get addmission into UIET then go for it... bbye good luck .......

and approval from AICTE doesn't matter.. at all......... what matters is link of your college in the market and if yuor university is approved fronm UGC then you not need any aicte approval.... and last thing aicte approval is not a big deal ..... any college can easily get aicte approval........... just in a one day . but as PU is recognised from UGC and recieving grant from it so it doesn't need any aicte approval................

and for further clearance go to orkut serach for community of ccet and ask the students currently studying there about the college and placement etc.... this is the best way to know about any college.............
