if you are frm chennai i would say you take Anna if you get an equivalent branch..coz Anna is also gud n it is situated in a gud city..n preparation for CAT wud be easier coz you will have access to better coaching institutes..

if u have failed,dont be dissapointed,coz uve learnt one way how u cant succeed..n never stop tryin..coz perseverence pays!! |

well go for anna university if n only if u get CEG ( RANKED 10TH) or else go for NIT WARANGAL (ranked 13th ) u can see the outlook rankings :

College of Engineering, Guindy is a superb institution with an awesome reputation. But, if you are getting Mechanical in Warangal, then you should go for it if you are good in Physics because of the sheer environment there AND the peer group you'll get. If you are not too particular about all that, then Anna may be a safe choice as well, paricularly if a Tamilian or living in Chennai. But, otherwise Warangal is the place for you!! Moreover, it might just be upgraded to an IIT in the next 2 years(20% chance). Also, the college is on an upswing.
