Q. How can one find the correct configuration of a transition metal ion from its spin only magnetic moment value?

Q. The spin only magnetic moment value for one of the following configurations is 2.84 B.M. Which is the correct one:

1. d-4 [in weak ligand field]

2. d-4 [in strong ligand field]

3. d-5 [in strong ligand field]

4. d-3 [in strong as well as weak ligand field]

if magnetic moment is given u only can find is a no of unpaired electrons by formulae or just take the max integer then u try for the E-configuration
here no option is going to be correct unless one finds a comp in which fe remains in +4 transition state
