What is the locus of a point if the sum of the distances of that point from 2 perpendicular lines is 1?? Solution needed

Let the two perpendicular lines be x axis and y axis.
Perpendicular distance from x-axis = |y| Perpendicular distance from y-axis = |x|
Given |x| + |y| = 1
In four quadrants they will form four lines.
x+y = 1 -x+y = 1 x-y = 1 -x-y = 1
They form the sides of a square. Hence the locus of the point is a square with side root(2).

yes hes correct there.. locus will be a tilted square.
