I think H20,coz BF3 being planarly arranged the net dipole moment is 0 coz the resultants balance each other.H20 is what,1.48 D maybe? And in CH4 the electronegativity diff bet. C and H ~ 0.

the e.n diff. between c and h is nt so high so the moment wont b so less....compared to ch4

also since ch4 is has no lone pair therefore it has zero dipole moment coz its non polar n in bf3 coz of d bonds arranged at 120 deg to each other d net dipole moment is zero therefore among d three h2o has d highest dipole moment

rate me if u find my answer smwat more dan useless |

The one which is most ionic has greatest dipole moment and thus it should be H2O

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |

yeah BF3 and CH4 have 0 dipole moment,.....
so it has to b H20 , u can see by their structures too
cheers!!!!!!!!!

I think H2O will have more dipole movt than CH4.BF3 has zero dipole movt.

H20... in CH4 and BF3 the vector sum of individual dipole forces is zero ( cancel out)
