When we calculate lim(x->0) 1/x ...we write the answer that LHL is -inf and RHL is +inf...we can say undefined because infinity is not defined!
But what is f(0)? .... it is said to be not defined and NOT INFINITY!!!!
Note that lim(x->a) f(x) means that what value does f(x) APPROACH as x APPROACHES a... x is never equal to a and f(x) is never equal to the answer we get...
This 1/0 concept used to be wrong in previous NCERT books too...but it has been corrected...

If infinity is a real no, the tell me why (infinity) - (infinity) is not zero Why zero * infinity is not zero Why 1 raised to infinity is not one? Answer these ques and i will agree to the notion that infinity is real...

WHO SAID INFINITY IS REAL!!!
infinity is just....nothing... any thing which involves infinity is NOT DEFINED
0*inf=not defined but 0*(tending to infinity)=0
1^inf=not defined but 1^(tending to inf)=1
(tending to 0)*(tending to inf) = indeterminate
(tending to 1)^(tending to inf) = indeterminate

neeral is correct and also infinity - infinity is not zero because we dont know the exact value of infinity... its just a concept of mathematics... infinty is a whole big branch of maths in itself its not just any simple number..

see it this way inf + 2 is also equal t o infinity
so infinity - infinity can be written as infinity - ( infinity + 2)
so it will be - 2 ... it can be any number this way.. got it ? :)
