WARNING- What you are going to see now will make you realise that what you have been studying in maths since bachpan is not quite correct. Not for people who have weak hearts and other heart problems. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Let a=b a2=ab [multiplying a on both sides] a2_ b2=ab _ b2 (a+b)(a_b)=b(a_b) a+b=b [canceling (a-b) on both sides] 2b=b (as a=b) OR 1=2 Try to find out flaws in this derivation if you can. All the best. Don't forget to leave your valuable comments and rates.

| hey...a^2-b^2=ab-b^2=0 since (a-b)=0 ...but it doesn't mean that a+b=b but (a+b)(0)=b(0)=0..... |

| This is ur point of view. This does not show any flaw in my derivation. C'mon there must be someone on goiit who can find flaw in this. Its a simple concept. Rate me if you think that I am good enough to think such a derivation. |

For ur kind information u cannot cancel "0" on both the sides. as a=b so ur equation is 0=0 which on multiplying by any thing will remain 0 only..............
I have lots of other foolish derivations like this........ |

| quite right we were taught at elementary school that you cannot divide a number by 0.Whatever you do after all you are creating a plethora of processes, the careful man will always find it out in one stroke no doubt about it. Isn't it?? |

Going a step further on your derivation 1*0=2*0 so 1=2.......2*0=3*0 so 2=3..........and so on.
Hence all the numbers are equal 1=2=3=4=5=6=7.............=infinity Huh. Good joke mate. |
