hiiiiii! as far as aieee is concerned i guess ncert will b more than sufficient. but do go through a good objective book as it'll make ur concept's clear. all the best.

hcv would b a waste of time for aieee as it goes out of syllabus [good for iit]and aieee wont have a word away from ncerts so....

NCERT is a must in all subjects. So no doubt on this. I don't agree that NCERT is enough for AIEEE. Read HC Verma also and do numericals, at least the examples without seeing them first. Finally, practice a lots of objective questions. That will be enough for IIT, AIEEE and other exams. I don't understand people talking "this is good for IIT and not for AIEEE". This is a wrong notion. Your fundas should be clear and you must practice enough. IIT only requires very clear understanding of concepts. Nothing so different from AIEEE. After all, getting a good rank in AIEEE is as difficult as IIT.

No. Absolutely not.You can't skip ncert and read only hc verma. Only if u r a state board student u can skip NCERT for want of time to read your state board books.
|
it is not important where u stand, but in which direction u are moving |

i guess the same you must not leave ncert as it also contains some extra points though very less but they r imp also secondly hcv is must for the competitive phase

So many of us telling that NCERT is a must, still u r asking the same question. NCERT u must read. If your concepts are clear and you have taken drop, it should not be difficult at all.
