can u pls solve this problem for me......

show that for an A.P,a1,a2,.....,a2k,

a1^2-a2^2+a3^2-a4^2+.............+a2k-1^2-a2k^2= k/(2k+1) *(a1^2-a2k^2)

is this a difficult problem??

if not , i cant even solve this....my tution sir gives me problems like this(sometimes more difficult)....does this mean i dont have a chance in iit?

dude if i were at your place i would not have cared how is this problem solved.
my method would be put some values for 'k' like k=1or 2.answer would be there automatically.
dude, no point of solving.paper is objective.u need to be streetsmart and if ur teacher doesn't tell u these short cuts, then u know that even he lacks smartness........tell him to work harder!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yaar i totally disagree with rishabh actually yaar the concept is the main thing whether the paper is objective or subjective
I am a dropper & i hav faced the paper once so with full confidence i can say that ur concepts shud be strong in each of the three subjects coz in IIT either the paper is objective but they don't give u such lollipops that u can simply put the option & check it
Secondly,yaar plzz hav full confidence in ur teacher
It is not that he lacks in anything ,actually he is giving u the right teaching.U can urself see that u can find many teachers who will teach u the tricks but u will find only a handful of them who will teach u the theory.
Finally,yaar tricks which teachers told apply to a specific type of ques., so u hav to remember a large no of them & also if any other type of ques comes then they fails but yaar if ur concepts r clear then u can develop ur own tricks while solving the ques & in exam also u will be able to do it with sucess
And don't feeel if u r not able to do some ques just keep on trying it & ask ur teacher.Arey yaar abhi se ghabraoge to aage kaise kaam chalega

sorry mate prakhar...............well no disrespect but i would say that iit no longer gives those sorts of questions. they were meant for mains.and dude even i gave iit this year though got a rank of 4894 due to poor performance in chem but i would tell u to check this year's jee paper once again.u can get atleast 40 marks in maths using these street smart techniques.plus if u know these u will have a great chance in other exams where speed matters though speed now matters in jee too.
i am not saying that not to develop concepts but remember that ur main aim is to score marks not to show off ur concepts(u can't do that on an omr sheet!!).if u can solve a question using this short cut why the hell care to waste ur time over pondering on the concept.
and please don't take any shit from anyone be it ur teacher.allow no one to discourage you.jee is about confidence+knowledge+smartness..........u need to have all to get a good rank.

now i ask u only 1 ques that if u get only 40 marks in maths by using this shortcuts then wats the need of learning it
coz by using my concepts i got 70 marks in maths
it's only due to my poor performance in phy-chem of 2nd paper (which was also due to my poor health)that i hav to drop this year

And buddy remember u will not find this year paper of last year's level
last year paper's level was so low coz CBSE syllabus changes so it was a lot of confusion
But this year u will find same ques which u expect from iit before

And haan i hav above also said this tricks r meant for other exams but for JEE u hav hav to go for the concepts nothing else can help u

even if u got 70 in maths that won't help(talkin about this year's paper)as for <2000 rank u need 260+.maths was easier this time around.u got 70 using ur concepts, add 40 due to those tricks and u get 100+ and u will be thru.i never said that one doesn't needs concepts, one needs both.
