R=(rho)l/a So when the wire is twisted by the middle the area becomes 4times(as radius is doubled) an the length becomes half. Therefore,R'=(rho)1l/4a =(rho)1l/4=1/4 R=1ohm. Ans. If u have a doubt nudge me plz. And plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz rate.

sorry...............for replying so late.........my internet connection is not going smoothly............. anyway, @ ramyani, good job.............but tell me how will you find the head and tail of resistance if you are unable to identify the direction of current.........
@harsh.......never use these words again..........everyone is rite at his/her place ................if she is having some problem then let her ask and clearify her doubts........... and this problem is not as simple as it is appearing........... if ther r more than one twist , then it will be combination of resistances in parallel and series both................but in that case also, resultant resistance will be 1 ohm(or R/4 in a general case.....)
let there are n twists in wire.........then wire will be devided into 2n rsistances with each resistance equal to R/2n......... now consider a single twist, out of n twists........as it contains 2 resistances in parallel ,so, resistance of single twist is R/(4n).... and all twists are in series ........so nett resistance is n.(R/4n)=R/4 ............................................................................................
is it clear........................
and remember...............
THINGS ARE NOT SO SIMPLE THAT APPEARS TO U.... SO,TRY TO SEE THE WORLD IN A DIFFERENT WAY!!!
as written in my signature................. hehehehe......................
So, everybody............cheers!!! donot take my any word to heart...........

Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.
