Que 1 : A heave mass is hanging from a string in equilibrium without breaking it . When this same mass is set into oscillations , the string breaks . Explain ?
 
Que 2 : After a good meal at a party u wash ur hands and find that u hav forgotten to bring ur handkerchief . U shake ur hands vigorously to remove ht ewater as much as u can .Why is water removed in this process ???
 
Pls post solutions with explanation !!!!!!

When the mass is hanging from the string the only tension in the string is the weight. When the mass is set into oscillations, there is a centrifugal force acting and also the weight. This net tension becomes greater than the breaking strenght of the string and so the string breakes.

Water gets evaporated in this process as on shaking the hands vigorously the water gains the neccssary amount of energy required for it to evaporate.

Hi anshuman !
yes , ur explanation is right for both que 1 and 2 , but for que -2 , I hav my own explanation , Can we answer this problem by inertia ???
Also , this que is from the ch - circular motion . So , I need a ans. using those concepls .
