A block slides along an inclined plane in various directions.If it recieves an initial velocity 'v' directed downwards along the plane, its motion will be uniformly directed and it comes to rest after travelling a distance L1. If the vel of same magnitude is imparted in upward direction, it comes to rest after travelling a dist L2.At the bottom of the plane, a perfectly smooth horizontal guide is fixed.If the block is given same vel along the guide, how much dist does it travel????

THE ANSWER IS 2L1L2/L1+L2

USE KINEMATIC EQUATION IN WHICH SEE THE ACCELARATION DIRECTION IN FIRST 2 CASES AND IN THE THIRD EQUATION ACC. IS GSIN.ADD THE 1ST TWO EQUATION AND PUT IT IN THE 3RD.ULL GET THE ANSWER.
