A particle is moving in a straight line under a retardation of av^n+1 where v is the velocity at time t and a is the constant,x is the displacement.Show that if u be the velocity of the particle at t=0 then at=(1/x)(1/v^n-1/u^n)

The acceleration is w = -avn+1

dv/dt = -avn+1
uv v-(n+1)dv = -a 0t dt
v-n - u-n = nat
at = (1/n)(v-n - u-n)

I think it should be n in place of x in the problem
