let g(x) = 3x 2 - 4  x+1,whn x is less than 1 = ax+b, whn x is greater than or equal to 1 if g(x) is differentiable and continuous for all numbers,then find a and b.

g(x) is continuous ------lhl=rhl at x=1
lim(x--1) 3x^2-4(root(x)+1) = lim x---1 ax+b
a+b=0
also g(x) is differentiable lhd =rhd at x=1 u will get
a=6-2=4
so b=-4
hope i am not wrong!!

oh.......... i took root over the whole exp (x+1) i guess it is only over x anyways method is same i have edited my sol do tell me if any prob........
