Endothermic reactions are the one in which energy is required.
for them H of the reaction is +ve.
eg.
In body, respiration is a process in which energy is required(ie endothermic) and need is fullfilled by conversion of ATP to ADP.

dear for a process to be unstable we have to check the G values as H is not the sole criteria to define the spontaneous nature of a reaction.
G must be -ve .

There is an absorption of energy in an endothermic reacn.

We cannot say that the products formed are unstable or not , the factor which decides whether the reacn. really proceeds or is an hypothetical one is the FREE ENERGY CHANGE  of the system i.e.

G = H - TS

if G is -ve then reacn. proceeds whatever be the type of reacn.

   H is the enthalpy change.

   S is the change in entropy.  T is the temp. at which reacn. is taking place.
