I read many posts that said that competetive exams are being 90% based on NCERT syllabus. But I see competetive exam questions with tangents and normals for circles, parabolas, etc. Where should I study these from?

conic section in ncert is not enough try a good buk say rd objective or ml khanna or u can try some institue's notes

add complex numbers too.Complex numbers requires extensive study especially on concepts like roots of unity,polar representation etc.U can score only if u r thorough in these areas.

YAAR ENTRANCES IS A DIFFERENT BALL GAME ALLTOGETHER...........
FORGET MATHS................EVEN IN PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY.....
NCERT BY NO MEANS WILL SUFFICE...
.
......YOU'LL HAVE TO BE IN A STATE TO WRITE A NCERT BOOK IF U WANNA CRACK ENTRANCES WITH NCERT.......
U JUST HAVE TO STUDY
1.) SAMPLE PAPERS (WITH PREVIOUS YEAR PAPERS)
2.)GOOD REFERENCE BOOKS.......
LETS BE PRACTICAL WE ARE NOT GENIUSES AND WE'LL RATHER PREFER
GOOD BOOKS - LESS LABOUR than
AVERAGE BOOKS - MORE LABOUR ( FOR ENTRANCES)...
FOR MATHS - RD IS THE BEST........... OR ML KHANNA .WHICHEVER U CAN GET UR HANDS ON.......
