I m finding optics numericals difficult,i think my basics r nt clear,can anyone of u take the effort to post some basics concepts on it here.
I wud b really thankfull.

i think these books would prove damn useful to you

be thorough with all sign conventions
 
check specific questions like cutting the lens and placing them at different height
 
dependence of focal lenght on various factors
 
sums on diffraction
