olling friction how is it different from other friction. does it support motion of arolling body.

Quite often rolling friction is negligible compared 2 static or kinetic friction present simultaneously..

eg:To reduce friction small ball bearings {steel balls} are kept b/w the rotating parts of a machine. wen ball bearings are used,as one part move with respect 2 another,the ball rolls on the two parts..no kinetic friction is involved and rolling friction being much less causes less energy loss due 2 friction resulting in easier work

Rolling friction is basically caused because of the deformation that occurs at the surface of contact. if the both the rolling body and the surface are perfectly rigid... then there will be no deformation... Hence there will be no rolling at all...
