hey guys wat exactly is lower bound and upper bound?? hw do we use it in address calculation?

Lower bound is the first element of the array.And upper bound is the last element.We use it in calculation in rowmajor and columnmajor way of calculating base address.You want the formula???

no as in im clear about what they are...i wanna kno that if suppose i have an array
A[15][20] and the address of A[3][4] is say 1500 and im supposed to calcluate the base address...then how do i use bounds in calculation??? is it necessary to substract 1 or wateva we do?

In such cases,we have to assume that the lower bound is [0,0] unless its given in the question.
