in order to get your assertion - reason questions correct, you are required to know whether the statements are right or wrong. also you have to know the exact reason for the correctness of the assertion. it is purely based on your concepts.

if you are not totally satisfied with your assumed answer the please please please straightaway leave that question without thinking twice. otherwise you get many such questions wrong. Practise many assertion-reason questions on all subjects from any good source.

First of all things ,be clear with your concepts. When u revise a chap /subject be sure to revise from the notes you have prepared .Dont just simply go for problem solving.
As for phy do multiple choice qs frm HCV, they clear many 'wrong concepts' you might have developed
As for 'during the exam' time is concerned, be alert, read the statement(s) twice. Sometimes trivial words in the statements like not , either , if, then do mean a lot .
Take a pencil and underline them so that while rechecking your answers you don't make any mistakes (it does help).

i thimk most of the times u shud start from statement...and then go on the assertion part....it works most of the time...

Well first read the question properly, then if u get one of the statement as incorrect then ur problem is solved but if u think both are correct then read it again, read the statement & read the assertion part then put a because sign & then read the reasoning part. If u think that reasoning is giving proper explaination then mark the correct option.
