When pressure is applied to the wquilibrium system ice(s)-----H2O(l), Which of
the following will happen?

1.More ice will be formed.
2.water will evaporate.
3.more water will be formed.
4.equilibrium will not be reached.

I think when pressure is applied to the equilibrium more ice will be formed, because whenever pressure is applied compression takes place and in this case the liquid molecules will come close to each other due to ompression and form ice.So the ans is [1]

well i am not very sure but this is my try
the density of water is higher than the density of ice
so when pressure is increased that pressure has to get utilised in order to generate a new equilibrium
this can happen if ice gets compressed to form water
so is sppose option 3
