Hey,
x+1/x=1=>x^2-x+1=0=>-w,-w^2
x^2000+1/x^2000=w^2-w.

Hey,
k..i kno am bad at explainin..let me give another try,
See,
x2-x+1(dis is k?)
Now the roots are x=[-1+(-) root(-3)]/2 =-1/2+(-)root(3)i/2 which is our -w and -w2.
Now w3=1 so w2000=w1998.w2 = 1.w2 ,
Likewise,
                1/w^2 =w/w3=w/(1) =w

DAMN EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(X+1/X)2000=X2000  +1/X2000  +2* X2000   * 1/X2000
=12000=X2000+1/X2000   +2
ANS =   -1
