Hey, How to judge the heat of hydrogenation and formation?

heat of hydrogenation is inversely proportional to the stability of the compound...... for example cis-2-butene has greater heat of hydrogenation than trans-2-butene...........

yup ramkumar is rght.............more stable the compound less is its heat of hydrogenation............

Depends on the stability of the compound formed , more stable it is , more the heat of formation.
