What would happen to the radius of a soap bubble if a charge is placed on it??
PS: Nothing has been said in particular about the type of charge

YES RADIUS WILL INCREASE BECAUSE CHARGES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON THE SURFACE AND DIAMETRICALLY THE WILL REPELL EACH OTHER.

WHY RADIUS WILL DECREASE ? THERE IS NO FORCE MAKING BUBBLE TO CONTRACT RATHER REPULSION IS MAKING IT EXPAND
|

well if a charge is placed on a soap bubble........the charge spreads over the surface of the bubble.......thus there will be repulsiona nd the radius of the bubble inc...i hope my answer and expln are write..plz correct if i ma wrong...

nothing will happen if only one charge is present, @scientist135: u say they will repel but whom they will repel to? only one charge is placed, so it will spread uniformly.

When a charge is given to soap bubble then there will be no change in the radius of the bubble because this charge will uniformly spread all over the surface and the radius will not increase or decrease as in the case of a spherical shell...........................
