the ans to this qs will be c
the qs is somewhat absurd
u have to take into account the genral principle of rdirectly proportional to l
and then with the resistivity formula find new value of r
which comes to be 8r
so the balance length will be 8l

and R = rho L/A
as length is doubled
and thickness is halved
R becomes eight times.
Hence L becomes eight times

u took area of crossection to be half so u getting l/4
it should be 4l anyway(by the way u have solved it)
but thickness gets halved means radius becomes half not the area of cross section
