Is the ans 1/27. i think so bcoz prob of getting a sum 9 when thrown once is 4/36=1/9.since the events are independent,prob=3C2(1/9)2=1/27

sorry,I made a silly mistake.I forgot to multiply by 8/9.sboosy is correct
abraham we multiply 3 bcoz we need to select 2 out of 3times in 3C2 ways

When we throw thrice , sum of 9 can come on the first 2 throws or first and last or last 2 throws (3 cases)
Thus the multiplication by 3 is done
