The best process is to heat water and then turn a turbine(dynamo)  with the help of steam.

See most of the things like turbines are very capital intensive. (You may require more than 10000 to get a working heat based electric generator) A better way is thermocouple. It is not very efficient but it converts heat directly into electricity
