 acc to me it shud be BeH2....as ashish said acc to fajan rule..since size of be is very small......but the ans given in mtg practice papers for bitsat is d

BeH2 ...cuz all compounds of Be are covalent only ...Be forms covalent compounds only .

fajan's rule means increase in ionic character of bond due to presence of small cation.....its high +ve charge density attracts electrons from anion or something related, and hence the bond becomes more ionic.


 


all the given hydrides are ionic so there is no question of fajan's rule... but BeH2 is least ionic because Be is least electropositive.
