heat recieved by the earth per unit time can be written as
(Intensity of radiation of the earth/4pid2)(piRe2)-------(1)
where d is the distance of the earth from the sun so 4pid2 are of the spherical structure formed by the radiations and piRe2 is the area of the earth facing the sun it would be a circle!
note that the intensity has the unit J/m2/sec when multiplied by m2 we get the unit of Energy per unit time which according to the Stefan's Law is
sigmaAT4----(2)

equate (i) and (ii)
you will get Td1/2 - const.

so, the answer should be (C)
thanks

as we know .......

SOLAR CONSTANT = ( RS / RPS)2 (SIGMA) T4
WHERE R PS =  DISTANCE BETWEEN PLANET AND THE SUN......
              RS= RADIUS OF THE SUN.............
NOW MOVING RPS TOWARDS LEFT SIDE..........
WE GET...........
          S * RPS2 =  RS2 * SIGMA * T4
   TAKING UNDERROOT.............
WE GET............

RPS   IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO T2............

THEREFORE  T  IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO sqrt Rps

I MAY BE WRONG ...SORRY 4 THAT.............
THANKU
