how to identify a gud college.........



1).....it should provide an oppertunity for placements for all the students passing out.i mean oppertunity becaz the college has the responsibility just to bring the companies and its the students who have to impress the company officials.AS far as bits goa is concerened placement is something not to worry.becaz students who join to bits keep up a level which is enough to impress the officials......



2)...ACTIVITIES OF THE COLLEGE.....the college students should be active in all feilds.becaz the company officials dont want any 10p monkeys who just know to perform in exams.they want students wit various capabilities.to proove tht capabilities college need to provide TECH-FEST,CUL-FEST etc..a student who make a gud contribution in tech-fest proove themself tht they r ready to come to this competitive world to proove wht they r......as far as bits is concerened.........tech-fest is superb.quark in bpgc and apogee in bppc r superb.moreover bits students had prooved their abilities in techfest of iits.one interesting fact ...one first year student from bits goa won tycoon which is national level examination where anyone can participate...



3...)acessibilty to a college....if the college is in a place which lack propper transportation then that college is stampped as BAD COLLEGE........



4...)climate of a college........the climatic condition of a college should be favourable for the students.as far a BITS PILANI GOA CAMPUS(BPGC) is concerend climate is superb......hope remember those stuff u learned in geogrphy tht coastal areas r having a not hot not cold climate.



5..)faculty of the campus..actually i put this point only as the 5 one becaz in most of the eng colleges student study themself.they approach teachers for some extra stuff.......for example me and my friends had to consult the mech deprtment for a help to make a robot....so attitude of the facuty also matters.....



6..)projetcs done by students........it will be gud if u have an acess to the projets done by the students.the standard of the projetcs prove the innovative mind of the students.

as far as bits is concerened i haerd tht BIITS pilani students r making a robot worth lakhs.as far as bits goa is concerened.....i dont have a long list of projetcs,becaz ours is a 4 year age college......but still we a have a bit..........some of our seniours made a car wit some extra features in minimum cost.the eee department is also making some gud contribution(since its not completed i dunno wht they r making)..

some clubs r formed in the BPGC campus in acossiation wit CYPRESS.though this clubs we can learn some extra stuff than normal syllabus..for example we can learn microcontroller programming...and other similar stuff......



so these r some imp points to be remembered.................i may have forgot some important points.......u may add if u want.
