definitely, rings have UF of 1. but that doesn't mean that their C r like sp2 hyb..
if this is so then will u tell me , is ther no diff. between C of benzene and that of cyclohexane??????????????
definitely ,,,,
C of benzene are sp2 hyb. but that of cyclohexane is sp3 hyb.......................

Who said that there isnt any difference between them? I said that these carbons have a sp2 like characteristic! They arent sp2 hybridised! I mean, that they are partly like sp2!They may be sp3 hybridised but doesnt mean that they shdnt have sp2 chars!

Here we are talking about acidity and basicity,, which can be judged on the basis of +I effect. Here it is cyclic ring, and mind it ,, it is not sp2 hybridised . In such cases, ring is more symmetric +I effect causing group, since all are sp3 hybridised, but but in comp. (1), NH2 is joined to carbon, which in turn is joined to two more carbons,,unlike comp. (2) . Thus it decreases acidity and increases basicity. So (1) is more basic and (2) more acidic. No confusions in case now.

im pretty sure of the answer it is 2 is more basic than 1
im not sure of the reason .
neway does the bulky cyclohexyl group have anything to do with the less basicity of 1 ?
guys please go to my earlier post named tautomerism 3 . please noones answered that .

the first compound has pKb = 3.6
the second compound has pKb = 3.25
Hence second one is more basic
