Thiamine ( vitamin B1) is a water soluble vitamin
chemical formula - C12H17N4OS
its deficiency leads to beriberi
sources- cereals, whole grains,pasta, peas and a few diary products when consumed in large amount.
Pyrophosphate-it is an ester of pyrophosphoric acid
Pyridoxal Phosphate- (vitamin B6) it plays an important role in amino acid metabolism
role of metal ions - they play an important role in homeostatis
