In the question is b(x)=xi+sinxj or is it that b(x) and sinxj are diff vectors.

In the question is b(x)=xi+sinxj or is it that b(x) and sinxj are diff vectors. If it is so,then a(x) and b(x) are collinear for sinx=0 or cosx=x.Tell me whether it is correct,i will explain.
