i personally donot believe in all this "being ashamed of sitting with juniors" thingy yaar..........no use........coz i know a lot of my sirs who cudnt clear jee in their first attempt went in for a drop and are doin. really really good now........aaj kal koi unki umar nahi pucchta......ok lets have some more views in...........

wahan faculty ki kami hai, outdated syllabus .time mile toh newspapers par lena. even my friend confrmd it
lekin agar mil jaye, phir buraiyan karna band , wahin par chale jana.dont drop a yr on THAT pretext
as 4 me ,yes , even i want 2 sign up 4 this " drop a yr club".

i think one yr is worth it but ur chances r less than ur first attempt.....coz ur flow of solvin prblms and studies goes away...thats wat i think.....

fortunately for me , i am '91 born so drop wont affect my age prospects(marriage..etc...lol;lol;) so i guess it would be the same age of say a fresher even if i drop.....and yeah with more nits coming in and more iit 's coming in only brand iit will be respected say 5 years later.Also rachit is quite rite....60%+ are repeaters

i'm very much with wat ashwin and rachin have to say abt this matter.........that way putting these matters together....(ie 60%+ repeaters and ashwin-91)....we'll have poor ashwin amongst seniors..... ......
jus jokin. was a bad DJ(Dardnaak joke).........neways chill guys.......these are the common feelings that we ppl have that have come out as a result of this topic.........neways.....are there jus. so many who think that they can repeat........cmon' guys there will surely be many more.........so lets get in some more views...cmon'..........

I .......yo mann ..i surely agree with PRAMOD . getting into IIT is not about getting it just after ur 12 or 1 attempt . in ug level its all about ur carreer $ ur passion ......
i dont think so that droppn a year is a waste given that we really lock our rooms up for nearly all the 24 hrs.......

interesting discussion...i for one am for the idea.i gave my JEE last year (2007), and qualified (P&I@IITD)
i can see now that a lot of ppl in my batch are droppers, and are doing just fine..
in fact those who dropped a year along with taking some non-IIT engg college (DCE BITS etc etc) are faring infact better because of their exposure and knowledge..and if u r thinking about sitting around your juniors..let me tell u that is an absolutely ridiculous statement..some of my best friends @ IITD are infact senior to me, and as far as the extra effort is concerned, yes IIT IS WORTH IT...

a very interesting fact putup by Mr "higher"........i very muc agree with him.......thanks a lot for ur views guyz....im sure we can have smemore students coming and giving their views.....and why they think they can make it into the iits given one more chance........lets have somemore openions some more arguements its for our mutual benifits guys...........cmon'
