2 heavy bodies in d form of solid spheres each of mass M &radius R are at initial separatn of 6R..........so find d value of speed V which is givn to 1 body in a direction perpendicular to d line joining dem,,,,so dat dey r just able to touch each odr....

i conserved energy.
my theory is that if the spheres should touch at the end.. then that means that after touching they will move apart.
for them to move apart, the final energy of the system must be positive. negative final energy means a bounded system, and we dont want that.. so i thought this was worth a try.
i knew ofcourse that my reason does not explain how they touch each other.. but i was just hoping that the question wnated us to assume what i assumed..
if u know the soln pls tell it.

approach to d prob:
see if d velocity is too high ..
they will never meet.
hence we have to find d minimum vel that must be given so that they touch each other and satisfy one more condition >>>> key word is "just able to "
so when the first block starts moving ...the other one attracts it ...which causes decrease in velocity ..
so ultimately ..we have to find that vel ..which makes d system at rest in d end...

hey look man 124.... one thing is clear.
the system will NEVER be at rest since you are giving it velocity.
please solve it.
its very easy to give advice.. but after we try and still dont get it then its about time you show us how to solve it.
