ok,,,,,,,, but won't ozonolysis of benzene take place simultaneously????????
in addition, i am also confused abt the products formed after ozonolysis of an alkyne...
please explain....

1. react phenyl acetylide with HgSO4/H2SO4 , we will get acetophenone..
2. do iodoform reaction we will get benzoic acid
3. convert benzoic acid to benzoyl chloride using HCl
4. convert benzoyl chloride to benzaldehyde using rosenmund reaction

just a small correction,how can you use HCl in the 3rd step? I think it should be replaced by SOCl2
