if u have done definite integrals u must have come across reduction formula of integral cos^4 x

$In=\int cos^n xdx$

put n=4 and solve

g(x+pi)= $\int_{0}^{x+pi}$ cos⁴tdt= $\int_{0}^{x}$ cos⁴tdt+ $\int_{x}^{x+pi}$ cos⁴tdt=g(x)+ $\int_{0}^{pi}$ cos⁴tdt=g(x)+g(pi)

The most important step is $\int_{a}^{a+p}$ f(x)dx= $\int_{0}^{p}$ f(x)dx if p is the period of f(x).
