my vit results were completely unexpected.....never thought of such a low rank (21878)
nw i want to get into jadavpur...............bt i m a bit confused ......... is there any negative marking in the short answer type questions .... ???.
and whts the score required ( min. ) in WBJEE for getting JADAVPUR.......
plss....help sooooooooon !! .............n.....thanks in advance !!!

dont know about marks but u need to have rank within 1000 in wbjeee to get in jadavpur wid some decent branch,a frnd of mine wid 1440 ddnt get civil also last year....no idea of marks...they dont give it...pls rate if found ma ans useful.

they dont give the marks<br/>and the pattern has changed this year<br/>and outsiders arent allowed to give the exam this time. last year it was open for all<br/>so its pretty difficult to predict anything rt now

@ Ankit ....... i hd heard tht thr r less thn 100 seats in jadavpur..................so hw com a rank above 1000 vl do...

wbjeee will itself release its cutt off rank in few days....u will get to know it then...i know it as my frnd went for councelling....and i m sayin it as i have gone through cutt off rank of 2006...and be assured jadavpur will certainly have more than100 seats.....no college in india has less than 100 seats,not even iit.bits or nit...so why will jadavpur be behind....and many top rankers opt for top nit and iit and bits...jadavpur comes next...and infact i just chkd now it has got more thaan 800 seats...check it urself on official site of jadavpur university...and rate me

I remember reading somewhere that Jadavpur has a large intake , above BITS Pilani's 800.Of course I am not sure about this.
100 seems to be a small number.

from what i heard it the number of students decreased by 35k as compared to last yr ..last yr it was above 1 lakh...
i think its going to decrease even more due to the delay in conducting the examm
