as most of the reaction of benzene are electrophilic substitution reaction and aniline has a higher reactivity than benzene it will start reacting.

The reactions of benzene are electrophilic substitutions. The ring in aniline is more activated towards attack by electrophile than in benzene ( due to interaction of lone pair of electron on nitrogen, the electron density of the ring is increased particularly at the o- & p- position). Thus if we are using aniline as solvent the attacking species will attack the aniline molecule instead of benzene and the desired reaction will not take place.

Due to lone pair on Nitrogen it is more reactive.. so it wil react with benzene
