we have a point where net potential is zero....in system of charges ...what does zero potential means physically....is it means zero work done....as potential is net work done to a charge to that point at which we have to find potential... plz explain

It means that the work done on moving the charge on the line where the potential is zero is again going to be zero as well.................

just like the equipotentail surfaces......

zero potential at a point means that the net work done on moving a charge from infinity to that point under the influence of the given system is zero.

choice of 0 potential is completely arbitrary.we assume the earth's pot. to b 0 though earth's pot. is not absolute o.

0 pot. only means that the electric field in that region w. r. to the body in consideration is 0 and there is no redistribution
of charge
