coz
pi = CRT
now C=n/V
n is number of moles of solute

NO ASHY I DON'T WANT THE ANSWER ON THE BASIS OF FORMULA I ASK FOR THEORTICAL REASON...... NOW DON'T SEARCH ON NET FOR ITS DERIVATION IT HAS NO DERIVATION ...........IT IS EXPERIMENTAL BUT WHY IT DPENDS ON IT........?

Because Osmotic pressure is a colligative property which depend only on the amount of solute present not on the natutre of solute not on solvent or anything just on the amount of solute particles

Buddy, U R confused. Concentration is defined only for that substance which not present in excess. Concentration means- How much substance is present in some excess solvent.
How can u define concentration of solvent???????? Conc=moles/volume
If u try to define concentration of solvent, then whose volume wud you take????? U cant take the volume of solute becoz it is present in very small amount.
Hope you get it!!

OH SO GOD CAME GAVE THE FORMULA AND WENT AWAY.... AND GOD SAID IT IS A COLLIGATIVE PROPERTY....
ESHAAN YOU ARE SO FUNNY .... IT DEPENDS ON SOLUTE CONC. SO IT IS COLLIGATIVE PROP. NOT THAT IT IS COLLIGATIVE PROP. SO IT DEPENDS ON SOLUTE CONC. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND YOU ARE USING THE CONCLUSION TO DERIVE THE RESULT AND REASON THERE IS A LONG BUT VERY GOOD REASON WHICH I HAVE FOUND

IS TARRIN BANSAL MAD............... MAN ARE YOU DRUNK............ YOU THE F... SAID SOLVENT CAN BE MEASURED IN TERMS OF CONC. HAVEN'T YOU SEEN THIS YEARS JEE PAPER ..... WATER AND ALCHOL SOLN. WHERE WATER WAS THE SOLVENT AND ITS MOLE FRACTION IS 0.9 BETA ....HOW GOT 243 RATES
THE ANSWER IS BASED ON THE - RELATIVE ESTABLISHMENT OF EQUILBRIUM BETWEEN MOLECULES "

Well, dude. Maybe I am drunk but I think you are also out of ur minds this time.
How can u take the example of liquid and alcohol?????
For ur kind information, osmotic pressure can be found only when solute is non volatile solid NOT a liquid.

WHY THE OSMOTIC PRESSURE IS DEPENDENT ON SOLUTE CONC. NOT ON SOLVENT CONC.
Solvent is the component of the solution which is present in excess... ALways the excess quantity plays negligible role. The concentration of solute (component which is lesser in qty than solvent) is what matters as a balancing force will try to equalise concentration of solute particles between the media in contact which have diff. conc of solute for the same solvent.

Mr Bladex/chem genius or whatever,
Now I hav a sure shot answer to ur crappy question and that too from the Maestro Dr. P. Bahadur.
When I asked this ques to him, his first reaction was-''Yeh kaisa bevakoofi ka question hai''. SO it proves that your question is just crap.
But still, the answer given by him-
All the colligative properties depend upon the number of solute particles present in the solution. There properties arise due to the bombardment by the solute particles. So, it itself means that we dont need to bother about the solvent.
Always remember- Osmosis is not due to osmotic pressure. Osmotic pressure is due to osmosis and osmosis happens by virtue of movement of solute particles.
And about my previous explanation-It was correct too.
We cant define concentration of solvent in a solution of a solvent and a non volatile solid solute. Concentration of solvent can be defined only when it is pure solution. For example-molarity of water in pure water is 55.55
So, watever he explained me, I hav posted it here and I cant doubt his answers and I dont think many ppl wud dare to give a second thought to his answers.
