when the BITSAT ranklist is out, are the marks also given out or only the ranks?? and what if a student is unable to cross the cut off of 80% aggregate in PCM in the 12th standard?? will the students name still be put up in the ranklist with their marks of the bitsat exam???

u dont get ranks in bitsat,u only get the score jst after completing ur bitsat and it is necessary to cross the 80% aggregate in pcm,if u dnt hv 80% aggregate u will not be admitted to bits irrespective of ur bitsat score..n there is no ranklist..for more info log on to www.bits360.com.,.

okay thanks... but i know that...what i meant was that much after you write the test...like in june middle or something..doesent a ranklist come up then??? like after everyone has finished with the exam??? or is it just the marks??

you are reqd. to fill a preference form ,in it you also hav to write ur 12th marks, if u get above 80% then they consider u. later they prepare a list according to preferences(of course a higher score gets to chose first) ,then there are a series of counselling.

ok thx... so there is a ranklist right??? and they dont give it out until you have posted your 12th std marks....and only after they give out their preferences....right??and when u said higher schore you meant the bits score right and not the 12th score???!!!!!!!
but in that list, do they only give the students name with the rank or the marks obtained in BITSAT??

by score i meant bitsat score. n the list is according to preferences we give.if no. of seats in cse is 100, then they select ist 100 scorers whose 1st preference is cs(if they are willing to join).its kind of complicated u'll understand it during counselling.

also in the pref. form like ur pref. r 1.cs 2.eee 3.mech. 4.e&i.
if u r eligible for mech. then they give it to u , u can always move upwards in the list if seats are available but not down ,that is u can't get e&i.

tell me wat happened, whether u could join or not as my friend got 328 and his pcm is 77%

p.s there can't be a ranking list as diff. people would chose diff. pref.
during counselling they offer u seats available(which is acc. to ur score n pref.)
