hi guys ! now that all institutes hav published their JEE 2008 results in leading newspapers, if u luk at them carefully, u'll find that many institutes r claiming the same ranks ! for eg, AIR 1, Shitikant is being claimed by Bansal Classes, Sri Chaitanya, Brilliant tutorials, FIITJEE,Aakash IITJEE, and many others. on reading this, u ought to wonder what the whole thing is ??? listen, what i feel is that somewhere, all this is true coz if he has even attented a single class or test in any institute, they will use his name ! i hav even heard that the top rankers r bribed by institutes for using their name, though i dont know how far its true ! i saw a post earlier and i agree that if u add total no. of selections in every institute, it comes out to be much much more than the total selections in JEE ! so, the whole point is that this is purely business, and we the students shud not even think about this ! wishing all of u best of luck in life in whatever u do ! pls comment on this ! thanks ! - UMANG

| these coaching centres just wanna hog all the bldy limelite.since they r anywz earning so much thru admissions, they mite as well spend a few more and claim AIR 1. they r all a big FARCE!!! |

i agree wid u !
u know BT claim that in past 26 yrs, they hav got AIR-1 21 times !!!
thats hard to believe !!!
until and unless u think the other way round !

| yeah. very true......ever1 is attractd by d results, and these coaching classes r taking advantage of this fact. i dont beleive that a person ca attend so many classes at d same time........wat does it mean?? lets not b attractd by these false claims. 1 must decide d class he wants by other students feedbacks |

absolutely !
c i wrote that they cantattend so many classes, but maybe they took just a single test there and gave there roll nos.
c shitikant was regular at bansals, but used study materials of FIITJEE, AAkash, so they r ought to use his name !
this is entirely business ! |

this is hundred percent true
Last year's Bombay Topper Harsh was approached by over 10 classes from Bombay for using his name at "exceptionally high prices" as per Times Of India (last year)...

these institutes can do anything to earn !
god knows what will happen !
just think about those students and parents seeking admissions !
how difficult it is for them !!! |

I agree on Brilliant Tutorials in particular. I had just asked for the prospectus in 1979 and in 1980 when I had a rank my name was there in their list. I am not sure of 1981 when I again got through JEE but I bet they must have added my name again. I actually went through Agrawal Classes. Curious if any of you can tell me what is currently the status of Agrawal. Is FIITJEE the same. In those days there were atleast 30 ranks in the first 100 from Agrawal. I am yet to find one that equals that. Finally I dont think any sensible person will go to Kota just to pass JEE. Remember if you get into JEE with such slog attitude you will never do well in IIT.
