I am a tamilnadu candidate and can use the state rank to get admission into NIT Trichy,at the same time

can I use my All India rank for NIT Trichy?or is it that only state rank must be used.

Each NIT have quotas for different states. so its the state rank which matters in admission to NITs.

But can i use all india..like for example,a 4000 ijn all india will fetch Computers but 150 might not..as given in last year cutoff(ranks)
