I got a score of 270 in BITSAT. Shall I get mechanical in Hyderabad campus. If not, shall I be able to get admission in any programme in any campus of BITS. What about the infrastructure of Hyderabad campus- Is it nearabout Goa standard?

well. .. as i knw .. hyd campus is a new campus .. new campus always has problems of infrastructure .. it takes time to get big colleges moving ..

generally i wud suggest not to take a new campus .. ur score is decent .. u may get in BITS .other campuses

Thanks! I shall try to get admitted in Goa campus too. But last time, the lowest cutoff for BITS Goa B.E. programme was for chemical and that too was 296 . If cutoffs remain same, I shall get at the most a M.Sc programme with a scope of obtaining a dual degrree of B.E. Now, I really want a B.E. Which will be more preferable - a B.E. in Hyd or an M.Sc (with a chance of dual) in Goa? Also, if I get in any programme in BITS (any campus), I won't go for other institutes. Please tell me if my score is safe enough to forego AIEEE counselling.

well a BE dual is assured with MSc(Hons) in Bits
u will most likely get sum Msc in goa which implies u get a BE!!
but u shud also attend AIEEE Counselling --- u can never be 100% sure about cutoffs

what is ur option form ? have u put MSc duals of Goa above BE Mech at Hyd or otherwise ?

Hi nunoxic, No I have given BE Mech at Hyd above Msc duals at all campus. I have filled most of the options except BPharms and Msc in Biosubjects.
Do you know whether the previous year cutoffs published in the BITS website are those after the 1st iteration or after the final iteration.

At 220 there is a very slim chance that she just might scrap through the lowest course. You are in for sure. those cutoffs are after final iteration.

guys would a score of 256 fetch me a BE in hyderabad. not quite interested in msc n other duals

I would say go for a decent dual(if you get it, that is) and then get the BE along with it as well. The chance of your getting a BE in Hyderabad in the lowest of courses is very very small.
