explain the lowered bpt and decreased water solubiltiy of o- nitrophenol, o- hydroxybenzaldehyde as compared to para and meta isomer hence or other wise
and define intramolecular chelation

In case of o-nitrophenol, OH makes H-bonds with NO2 and hence the compound cannot make H-bonds with water or diff. molecules and hence its solubility in water and B.Pt is low. In case of meta and para isomers, intramolecular H-bonding is not possible and hence OH and NO2 are free to make H-bonds with water and with different molecules of the same compound.
Same is the case with -hydroxybenzaldehyde. OH and CHO make H-bonds and hence cant make H-bonds with water and other molecules of same kind and so their B.Pt and solubility in water is low.

I dont know exactly what is intramolecular chelation but I guess this intramolecular association of molecules thru H-bonding or by some other means is called Intramolecular chelation.

Chelation literary means the combination of chemical molecules to form a heavier molecule. SO I guess the definition given by me is more or less correct if not cent percent. :D

well in both the cases of o-nitrophenol and o-hydroxybenzaldehyde if you draw there structures in o-nitrophenol the phenolic -OH and the O of NO2 are very near to each other in the ortho position hydrogen bonding takes place between these two molecules and a six membered ring is formed which is very much stable. so this compound does not form hydrogen bonds with water and hence insoluble. this is intramolecular hydrogen bonding. this does not happen in meta or ortho groups coz both the groups are far apart and intramolecular hydrogen bonding is not possible and so they form hydrogen bonds only with water and hence soluble. same happens in the other compound also six membered ring is formed due to hydrogen bonding. this formation of stable membered rings is called chelation which leads to insolubility. please correct me if i am wrong or nudge me if you have any doubts. sorry could not give the required diagrams

well i think this should make it more clear

only see the 1st structure:the hydrogen bonding, the stable six membered ring as a result of that, low solubility coz of all this

chelation is just forming a ring intramolecular chelation means forming a ring within the same molecule.u should have studied chelation in coordination che.
