I belong to delhi.I took a drop last year for my betterment in engineering college admissions,but it all has gone in vain.I studied seriously all thru the year but unfortunately broke my momentum during the last phase of my preparation.I wasnt qualified for iit and BITS and got 51111 Air in aieee which is far off having good seat in NITs.Coming to IPU cet i got 8156 rank ,--acc. to last years cut off  seat was given in EEE in GTBIT for a rank above 8000.I assume that I have very narrow chances at the IPU bcoz I am interested in CSE /IT.---As far as DCE CET is concerned i have not yet seen my results ,but having read all the recent posts on this site regarding DCE,I am not expecting anything great happening in DCE for me...

Lastly,.. I have given EAMCET which is conducted  by JNTU for admissions for engg and medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.I got a nice rank there.I am eligible for admission in BTech CSE/ECE/IT into its locally reputed colloge namely KLCE which is soonly turning into an autonomous university later this year--which mmeans tht if i join this coolege and complete my BTech  ,then I will b certified as passout frm the KLCE University only.On a positve note,this college has Infosys recruituing its students during campus placements.My dad is insisting from Day1 to go for this one as we natively belong to AP.

Now that's all I have opened up my option infront of u all,Plz send in ur views which would hopefully help me deciding my future as this one is so crucial for me.If you were me ,what would u do??

If u have faith,confidence and determination in u to prepare all the syllabus all over again,- -One thing I wud like to tell u is tht its very very essential to sustain ur motivation and not have any distractions.From my experience,I would say tht only those should drop a year who were just near to the cutoffs and have experienced the temperament of the examsetter.

@f2007034 Thanx for ur reply.The thing is tht I wasnt mentally prepared for studying outside delhi.Now I will have to face it all by myself and for myself..

Besides none of IPU colleges manage to get listed in the top 100 engg colleges of India whereas KLCE lists at atleast 94 th position

IPU will b a good option only if i am offered a seat in CSE or IT or ECE for which ,according to last years cutoff there are very narrow chances for me to be in reputed college in the branch I want.I dunno whats gonna happen??I am very confused whethefr to wait for IP counselling or go ahead with the KLCE thing.
