...

Hey Frens Chk this out……

Is it actually true..?

Can Sumone tell me plzzzzz….?

THE careers of about 1,200 students presently pursuing different courses at the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) is in jeopardy. The institute has, so far, not applied for approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its technical courses. What more, it doesn’t even find such a requirement necessary.

As per norms, AICTE approval is mandatory for all technical institutions in the country, whether run by the government or by private institutes. Absence of an AICTE approval will mean that the passouts from DA-IICT will have a tough time getting jobs, both within and outside the country.

The guidelines on AICTE approval clearly mentions that no technical institution, university, deemed university, university department or college — either private or government-run — shall continue to admit students for Degree or Diploma courses or programmes except with the approval of the council. However, the institute has been conducting five different courses including BTech, MTech, MSIT, MSIT (agriculture) and MDES. The courses were introduced on August 6, 2001 and the first batch passed out in 2005. And all this while, DA-IICT did not find it necessary to seek AICTE approval.

Sanjeev Dhaka of AICTE’s Information Cell at Delhi said, ‘‘DA-IICT has not been approved by AICTE. The students may face problem in getting jobs. It is mandatory for each and every institute running technical courses in India to get AICTE approval.’’

Absence of the approval will have students face problems getting into Central and State government organisations. Not just that, if these students plan to go abroad, the Ministry of Human Resource Development will not approve their degree.

if its a deemed university(which i think it is most probably not sure though) then it does not require aicte approval only UGC approval is needed

Why dont u frikin shut up ... read da comments in dat Indian Express article den post dis crap

Abt not bein AICTE approved .. lol Universities dont need AICTE approval

Alumni of DAIICT are in Berkeley , Georgia Tech , IIM , IIT , UFL , Purdue well if all these ivy league colleges/univ dont have a problem wid dis AICTE thingy i guess no one should worry abt AICTE approval and shit another fact

go to aicte's website ... you will find ISB listed as fraud institute (as it is not AICTE approved ) well dats enough of a statement to prove credibility of dis shitty govt organization

even galli-mahulla cllgs have AICTE approval which have pathetic faculty and when u have a univ dat is world class wid da some of the finest phd u can find nywhere in india and aicte doesn't give reco well da well no 1 can help den
