i have got CIVIL in GITAM UNIVERSITY, VIZAG. Can you please advise on the choice . Further i may get Electronics and Instrumentation in second counselling at the same institute . which is better civil or EI

There is no scope with civil engineering unless done from a good college (which figures in the top 10 or at least top 20-30 in India). Doing it from GITAM makes no sense. Hopefully EI should be better but if you want direct on campus placement in a good job in a core company then usually you again need to do it from at the very least top 20-25 colleges of India or so. Else you are likely to be placed in the IT sector. Then it is better to go for CS or IT.

ya...right...i had asked about the university from its placements officer...he said civil in gitam is really not that good.....if u want ot do civil....do it either from the IITs...or the top nits in south india...or go for manipal...its the best for civil among the private colleges.....

If you want to do civil top 25 is fine.
